This website provides general information about Grief Space Therapy and the availability of virtual individual psychotherapy services for adults in Ontario.

No emergency or crisis service

This website, email, and any booking or contact methods connected to this website are not monitored for emergencies.

If you are in immediate danger, experiencing a mental health crisis, or require urgent support, call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or contact a local crisis service in your area.

No therapist-client relationship

Viewing this website, sending an email, submitting an inquiry, or booking a consultation does not by itself create a therapist-client relationship.

A therapist-client relationship is formed only after an appropriate intake process, informed consent, and mutual agreement to begin psychotherapy services.

Who I am

I am Michael Lum, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), operating as Grief Space Therapy in Ontario.

I provide virtual individual psychotherapy services to adults in Ontario.

What information I may collect

I may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including:

  • information submitted through email, booking requests, consultation requests, or intake forms
  • information relevant to determining suitability for services
  • other information you choose to share in connection with an inquiry or service request

Jane App

I use Jane App for booking, intake forms, payments, secure video sessions, and related practice administration.

If you use Jane App in connection with my services, your information may be collected, stored, processed, or transmitted through Jane App in accordance with Jane’s own privacy notice and terms of use.

Jane states that its telehealth features are designed to comply with privacy laws including PIPEDA and PHIPA, and that telehealth sessions are encrypted and not recorded through Jane’s telehealth system.

Confidentiality

Personal information and personal health information are kept confidential and are not disclosed without your consent except where disclosure is permitted or required by law, professional standards, or regulatory obligations.

This may include situations involving:

  • risk of serious harm to yourself or another person
  • suspected abuse or neglect where reporting is required by law
  • a court order, warrant, or other lawful requirement
  • professional consultation, supervision, audit, or regulatory review where permitted or required
  • other circumstances authorized by law

If you become a client, confidentiality and its limits will be discussed in more detail through the informed consent process.

No analytics, ads, or cookies at this time

At this time, this website does not use Google Analytics, Google Ads, remarketing tools, or advertising pixels.

This website does not currently use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, advertising, or behavioural tracking.
